Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will soon return to consoles in “a spiritual series of 80s-90s video games”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a very special connection to video games, other than cartoons. How do we explain this?

The Turtles video games resonated so loudly in our imagination because finally we could get them involved. When we were kids, it was a wonderful time for us when we were playing very first arcade machine Turtles after the cartoon. Looks like playing an episode of the series! This projection of their universe is a memory shared by many people.

Is a 3D graphics engine relevant for a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game? Why this desire for “retro” graphics?
