Feeling that summer is approaching, Sony recently drew three new Bluetooth speakers, the SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300 and SRS-XE200, to let you play in the pool or on the beach.
Last summer, Sony launched three XXL festive speakers to liven up wild parties and improvised karaoke. The Japanese company is back this year with Bluetooth speakers that are more modest in size, but have the ability to punctuate your summer nights until the end of the night. Here are the SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300 and SRS-XE200 (still a dream product names at Sony).

In the order of size is the first of the SRS-XG300, younger sister of the SRS-XG500 was released a year earlier. It really needs a design similar to the latter with slightly flared ends for the size 31.8 x 13.8 x 13.6 cm and 3 kg on the scale. The SRS-XG300, however, replaces the SRS-XG500’s fixed handle for a more discreet retractable handle, but equally practical. Sony also boasts the strength of its enclosure which is marked with particular IP67 certification which shows increased resistance to dust, sand and water immersion.

With its acoustic architecture, the SRS-XG300 is equipped with 2 tweeters, 2 X-Balanced loudspeakers (both used in the excellent SRS-XB33 and 43) and 2 passive radiators that form a promising stereo unit. “obviously tall” as well as “Punchy bass” all of “limiting distortion”. A function called Mega Bass, also present on the SRS-XG500, will recreate the sound atmosphere of a club, especially when light effects are activated. The SRS-XG300 communicates via Bluetooth 5.2 and is compatible with the SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs. It promises 25 hours of battery life and is of course compliant with the Party Box protocol which allows up to 100 speakers to be connected. It also includes a microphone to answer calls or talk to your favorite assistant directly through the speaker. The SRS-XG300 will go on sale in July 2022 at a price of € 300.

The other two new speakers presented by Sony are smaller in size than the SRS-XG300: 10.5 x 23.8 x 11.9 cm and 1.3 kg for the SRS-XE300 and 9 x 20.8 x 9.4 cm and 800 g for on the SRS-XE200. They differ from the SRS-XG300 especially in their more angular design that combines mesh fabric and silicone coating. However, they remain just as strong, if not more so, as Sony claims that the coating of these two speakers is more resistant to knocks, vibrations and scratches. The IP67 certification and the waterproof aspect of the speakers remain, unspoken.

The SRS-XE300 and SRS-XE200 also differ from the SRS-XG300 by combining a technology called a “Line-Shape Diffuser” that should allow a more homogeneous distribution of sound around the speaker. , but farther away. The acoustic system consists of 2 X-Balanced loudspeakers and 2 passive radiators that offer stereo rendering when the loudspeaker is placed horizontally. They are also equipped with a microphone and can be paired for stereo rendering or network speakers compatible with the Party Box protocol.
In terms of autonomy, the SRS-XE300 promises 24 hours while the SRS-XE200 expects 16 hours. They communicate on Bluetooth 5.2 and are compatible with the same codecs as the SRS-XG300. The two speakers will launch in July 2022 at prices of € 200 and € 150 respectively.
