Check out my news
Sunday July 3 in Saint-Pathus, the daughter of an owner of dogs walking on his dwarf dachshundDogmatix, when it is violently attacked by two rottweilers. The sweet walk on Sunday night turned into a dream for the young woman and her friends. Located on the road New Housethe two Rottweilers are not neither bound nor gagged.
They attacked and “massacred” the Dwarf Dachshund, unable to defend himself. His wounds than very seriousveterinary emergencies have it euthanasia at the request of the owner.
“My daughter is so scared, you better not think about the horror of the scene,” he explained. Sandrine Adam, owner of Dogmatix. Reportedly, the scene will last up to three minutes. The person walking the dogs can’t stop them. Arriving at the scene, Sandrine brought the dog, seriously injured, to veterinary emergencies in Meaux. “His sufferings must be shortened. People around tried to save him, but they couldn’t do anything against the strength of the dogs, ”he cried.
He criticized what could have been avoided
Since the tragedy, Sandrine Adam has been looking for answers about the dogs that attacked her Dachshund. The man walking the two rottweilers is not the owner and the two mastiffs are not hidden in a leash, nor gagged. “I want to dismiss the fact that category 2 dogs are in town with no leash and no muzzle and that these Rottweilers present a danger for humans, but also for of other pets ”, Pathusienne posted on Facebook.
After the incident, he contacted the armies industry to try to file a complaint. Gendarmes from Dammartin arrived at the scene ten minutes later. The day after the attack, at the Saint-Soupplets gendarmerie, he was informed that his complaint did not “affect the interest of the people”. NAA Saint Pathusthe municipal police did not want to inform him about census Rottweilers. It was after a report by the gendarmes of Dammartin-en-Goële, who arrived on the scene, that he was able to file a complaint with Saint-Soupplets.
The municipality can take action
“Rottweilers are considered dangerous and are therefore classified into category two. So they need to be insured, wear a muzzle and put on a short leash,” he explained. Severine Hatte in association with Poilus d’Oissery. According to law of January 6, 1999, a mayor may “prescribe to the owner or keeper of this animal to take steps likely to prevent danger”. The animals of categories 1 and 2 must register with the municipality. After a similar incident in March, the mayor of Saint-Mard completely banned off-leash dogs in the city.
Sandrine believes that in Saint-Pathus, the the mayor did not act enough in front of dangerous dogs: “I’m waiting for him to put something like behavioral tests or for the list of recognized dogs available”. On July 15, town hall recalled that dog owners had to put them on a leash, and that the worst danger had to be covered.
Since then, Sandrine has contacted the owners of the dogs informing her that the dogs were insured, but they did not understand why the keeper released them without a leash or mouth. “Meanwhile, the two Rottweilers are still free and my daughter and her friends are still shocked,” he testified.
So far, no investigation has been opened. Sandrine still doesn’t know if the two dogs were registered at town hall. He believed that justice not finished. To be heard, he launched a petition and sent testimonies to the gendarmerie. “Our dog doesn’t deserve such a brutal and horrible end,” he concluded.
