Moving video of a dog saying goodbye to shelter members who have cared for him for 6 years.

Shelter volunteers invest themselves every day to allow animals without families to live in the best possible conditions. They become attached to these attractive creatures and vice versa. This video showing Stevie saying goodbye as she leaves for a new life is heartwarming.

Steve a 7 year old black dog. He arrived at Places called Dogtown in South Africaan animal sanctuary located in the mountains Hennop on South Africawhen he was one year old.

The poor man was found wandering and in need of treatment. Steve turned out to be an outgoing, kind and friendly pooch. That is why the volunteers are so close to him.

They are doing everything they can to make sure the dog finds its forever home. But despite the potential adopters showing up at the kennel, Steve not noticed.

For 6 long years, the affectionate pooch has waited long for a chance. Despite everything, he had some very good times with the members of Dogtown SA.

“Stevie met many potential families, but for some unknown reason, another dog was systematically chosen. Many of his housemates were adopted over the years and we always had hope for Stevie. The blackness doesn’t help either, because it’s common for specimens of this color to be neglected in shelters”SAYS Elanza Kloppersthe head of adoptions, of The Dodo.

Good things come to those who wait

Eventually, the couple fell in love Steve and in return. The animal then expressed his desire to leave for new adventures with these loving and caring masters.

“I’m very excited to break the news to the team”told Elanza before adding: “We all agreed to say goodbye to him as it should be”.

So the volunteers formed a guard of honor to accompany Steve of the car to its new owners. The happy pooch was visibly touched, as he took the time to happily greet each person.
