Leaving his dog inside the wall of his house for a day can upset an owner. Some want to take it to their workplace to make everyone happy.

None of their days are the same. Just their routine? Bring their life partner to their workplace.

French legislation does not prohibit their presence, except in certain health establishments, food sector companies, public administrations or if the dog falls into the first and second categories, known as “danger”. For others, why deprive yourself of it?

In the towns of sticks, grass, Antibes and their surroundings, the more they cannot do without them. Some agreed to tell us about their daily lives, explaining to us why it was important that they were always by their side. Comfort, safety, sociability …

Arguments with a dog!

“Contacting patients can easily be different.” From the moment they were welcomed by Picso, a Breton spaniel who crossed a 2-year-old English setter, into the office of physiotherapist Anne-Charlotte Massoni in Cannes, everyone knew the session could be much better. “I don’t think a dog can carry a medical aspect. I was told, though, that his presence could be therapeutic. I’m starting to notice it …”

Since last September, Anne-Charlotte Massoni has taken Picso with her every day. “He used to greet patients, guide them to the waiting room and then lie down at their feet.”

If her dog doesn’t accept her role as the host of the heart, she takes care of it. “He walks around the cabinet and looks at every room.” For the rest of the time, Picso lived his life as a dog. Hugged! “He was lying in his basket at the gym” emphasis “Go for a walk in the garden.”

However, at times, Picso feels like he is investing in a mission. Especially in young patients. “When I got a crying baby, I asked Picso to lie down next to him. And that calmed him down!”

With the elderly, too. “Picso reminded some of them of their memories with a dog they had lost. It made them happy! Some even offered me an afternoon walk. I completely trusted them.”

“Our customers greet Jogger more often than we do. Sometimes, we don’t have the right to quickly say hello!”

At the Juan Médical Santé medical equipment store in Juan-les-Pins, Jogger is the star! Jean-Pierre Dubois and his wife can no longer imagine their daily lives without their 8-year-old golden retriever. “In the morning, we don’t think about whether we should leave it at home or take it with us!” As is obvious.

At the store, Jogger comes and goes. According to his desires. “He’ll walk around every now and then but never get lost!”

And for hygiene, then? “We vacuumed, washed. Then, the material in the store was dedicated to the exhibit. Our stock was high.”

So there is no fear.

And a lot of comfort. “He didn’t have the slightest bit of aggression in him. But his presence helped keep people with disabilities away. Three years later, he wasn’t in the store and we had a bad experience.”

When customers go through the Azur Copie printing shop for plans and photocopies, in Mouans-Sartoux, Isabelle Weisser never accepts them alone. Sonny, a 15-month-old English setter, and Alaska, a 5-year-old border collie, are still waiting for them with their ball. Ready to play with them.

“It creates conversations with people that we would never have had without my dogs.”

Isabelle Weisser assures us: “Taking them to work is for everyone’s benefit. They don’t stay home and it brings me a lot.”

That’s why customers are now invited to come with their hairballs. “And at least they can visit too. They’ve become friends!”

This makes them very happy, and avoids stress. “If there are animals, it immediately relaxes the atmosphere!”

For Isabelle Weisser, there is no need to think: “I advise all dog owners to bring them if possible. It’s for everyone’s benefit.”
