French is bottom class!

Web 1.0, Web 2.0then just recently Web 3.0… Having trouble keeping up? The next generation of Internet and web protocol is the next phase of growth for web businesses. Web 3.0, this improved version of Web 2.0, is characterized by creating a virtual Internet world with a particular metaverse. With the metaverse, it is completely revolutionary our way of thinking, of informing ourselves, of consuming. But what exactly did the French think?

Web 3.0, the next stage in the evolution of the Web

If Web 2.0 is aimed at a paradigm shift in the way the Internet is used, Web 3.0 represents the next phase in the evolution of the Web. Concretely, Web 2.0 refers to websites and applications that use user -generated content for end users. In contrast, Web 3.0 is more focused on using technologies (machine learning, AI) to deliver relevant content to each user rather than content provided by other end users.

Currently, there is no standard definition of Web 3.0, but it already offers important features:

  • decentralization : information can be stored in multiple places simultaneously and therefore decentralized;
  • No trust and no consent : the network will allow participants to interact directly without going through a trusted intermediary. In addition, anyone may participate without permission from a governing body;
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): thanks to technologies based on the concepts of the Semantic Web and natural language processing, computers are able to understand information in the same way as humans,
  • machine learning : uses data and algorithms to mimic the way people learn, gradually improving its accuracy.
  • Connectivity and ubiquity : information and content as accessible on a growing number of daily web-connected devices.

The goal of Web 3.0 is to create smarter, connected and open websites.

The metaverse is how the internet or virtual worlds come together and come together in our lives. This is the combination of:

  • virtual reality;
  • More fact;
  • Mixed facts;
  • Dula;
  • Cryptocurrency;
  • Social networks and more.

It is a new way to use the Internet by changing it from 2D to 3D. The current web content on 2D screens on computers or mobile phones, can no longer be navigated by clicking and flipping through different pages and tabs. It can be transformed into three-dimensional objects.

Sortlist did a metaverse study, and the French results were somewhat lagging.

Of the 1,000 people surveyed:

  • 19% of respondents see the virtual world as a way to escape the real world;
  • 34% of respondents believe metaverse is Facebook’s new name;
  • More than 50% say they don’t trust a world
  • 67% of Europeans understand what the metaverse is, against only 55% in France;
  • 50% of French are worried about investing in NFTs.

This study also makes it possible to understand that some companies have confidence in the future of the virtual world.

They will invest 10 to 20% of their marketing or innovation budget in the metaverse, which will last over 5 years.

However, 1 in 2 people are still skeptical of the metaverse: more than half of users say they don’t trust this concept of virtual worlds, especially because of cyber security according to this study.

So will the metaverse be destroyed? To be successful, this concept still needs to address issues of trust and cybersecurity. Right now, users are still struggling to see it as anything other than a fun tool. But it can quickly become an everyday reality with Meta support behind virtual worlds.
