Game News 8 Steam Releases You Won’t Miss This Week
A new week has begun and that has new games to discover. And one of the best platforms to make it clear is Steam. Every 53 minutes, a game is released on Valve’s platform. Suffice it to say that a little adjustment is needed. This is why we are once again offering you a selection of Steam releases to watch especially this week.
Soda Crisis
Need to start the week with something dynamic to keep you going? Team Soda has teamed up with Bilibili (FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch) to take us to a side-scrolling shooter where speed and accuracy are the keys to survival. The Soda Crisis, from its small name, puts you in a strangely small character equipped with highly developed technologies. Combined with your combat techniques, this equipment will allow you to face the dangers of the futuristic world of Soda Crisis and to fulfill your mission. What is this? You will find out in-game. What we know now is that this is a rescue mission that is so important that only you can do it. During Steam Neo Fest, the game was unveiled in a demo that caught our eyes. The latter also applies, if you want to try your hand at the game before going to checkout.

voice
If it’s more calm that suits you, the independent adventure at Hanging Gardens Interactive might be enough for you. In the imaginary universe of Sonority, everything is calm and quiet … maybe even a little too much. Silence reigns in this world. So music has become a kind of magic, that Esther, our protagonist, masters. Accompanied by a talking raccoon, the girl seeks ancestral knowledge, lost melodies and deeds from the past. But the way to find them is not accessible to everyone. Obstructed by all sorts of puzzles, Esther must use her pipes to solve them and continue her quest. By using musical notes as elements of play, Sonority offers us a particular approach that will delight musicians and enthusiasts alike. If the puzzles are solved acoustically, the developers promise us that no prior musical knowledge is necessary to test their title.

My Time in Sandrock
Do You Know My Time At Portia? This rural life simulator halfway between Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon and Dark Cloud 2 invites you to build your small town in an idyllic setting. The title met with some success, both commercially and critically, and was slowly able to make a name for itself in the market. That’s why Pathea Games decided to re-enter for a new title: My Time and Sandrock. Launched on kickstarter in October 2020, the project excites potential players who are quick to explode in donation purposes. But then, how does this new title stand out from My Time and Portia? First, it happens to a more deserted environment where new characters thrive (about thirty new NPCs). Add to that a few little novelties like the possibility of marriage between players, a mini-game of buggy racing or even an additional town and you get My Time in Sandrock, launched early on. -access this week.

Redout 2
postponement
The release date of Redout 2 has unfortunately been set back to June 16th.
Simulations of quiet little lives, not your thing? Do you need it to move a pulse? That’s good because the fastest racing game in the universe is back. The famous Redout, released in 2016, finally got a sequel and the least we can say is that it promises. As it follows, Redout 2 is intended as a tribute to arcade racing games. It has to be said that with neon lights and full of adrenaline sensations, the title has something to express your nostalgia. Based on the principle of anti-gravity, the game published by Saber Interactive is reminiscent of genre classics such as F-Zero and Wipeout. In terms of content, this new opus offers us a single-player campaign and a multiplayer competition mode that can unite 12 players online on the same circuit. Of course, you can also rely on solid customization of your car and a dynamic soundtrack (Giorgio Moroder, Zardonic, etc.) to accompany your most shocking speed beats.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition – Knights of the Mediterranean
It’s time to tell you about a juggernaut in strategy games: Age of Empires. Almost two years later, fans of the saga were able to get their hands on Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. This improved version of the 2005 game offers licensed fans a much more complete experience than ever before with the standard game, of course, but also all the expansions released so far. Suffice it to say that in interior terms, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition has enough to make its competitors pale. And since we don’t have enough, the game always offers more extensions. After The African Royals, it’s the Knights of the Mediterranean’s turn to join the party for even more newcomers. In the program, we will see of course two new civilizations (Malta and Italy) and the introduction of historical maps, but also a new game mode. Bearing the name Tycoon, it aims to be more user-friendly and easily accessible, emphasizing the economic aspect more than the military aspect.

Sniper Elite 5
We continue the classics in the new Sniper Elite opus, titled Sniper Elite 5. Almost six years after its predecessor, the title comes this week and invites us, once again, to explode the skulls of the evil Nazis. To do this, you have to find the good old Karl Fairburne. Basically, there aren’t many changes. It felt a little too much during our game session, prompting us to dedicate the title to something embarrassing to see. But in terms of form, what does this Sniper Elite 5 have in store for us? Well, we already know that the game will offer a season pass (included in the Deluxe version) that focuses on a new two-part campaign. We also know that the title can be browsed both in online cooperation, and that a competitive mode, called Invasion, is also available in the game. The latter will involve interfering with another player’s campaign to kill him without any other form of attempt.

Like the Kangaroo
Finally a good shot of nostalgia to forget the tragedies of war? That’s good because more than 20 years after the release of the first licensed game, Kao the Kangaroo is back. Wear your most beautiful boxing gloves for this original adventure with a good taste of the 3D platformers of yesteryear. Tate Multimedia is on site and promises us the greatest adventure in saga history. Colorful worlds, mandalas to distribute, puzzles to solve, magic gloves to master, combat masters to defeat … There are things to do and discover in this new opus, everything not to forget to fulfill your mission not the least. In fact, your father and sister have disappeared and it’s up to you to find them. It remains to be seen what it will be like when the game launches, however Kao The Kangaroo at least has the advantage of speaking to children and the elderly.

Undiscovered 2: The Legacy of the Wayfarer
This one won’t talk at all. It has to be said that at first glance Unexplored 2 is never accessible, and not just because it is only available in English. However, if you’ve tried Unexplored before in the name, you won’t get lost in the area. As it follows, it’s a top-down action-RPG with roguelite elements. In the program? Dungeons to explore in nag or infiltrated mode thanks to Ludomotion’s proven knowledge in the past. Note that people who have participated in financing the game will have access to it since 2019. And given the different feedback, it’s even better for this pretty special game to be open to the world. If you want to know if Unexplored 2 is made for you, you can already try it out via a small demo. The perfect opportunity to make up your own mind before the game is released this weekend
